DISGUST (Winter 08)

While the smell of lies and deceit disgust me,
We are still denied to discuss history.
And even though we suffer through sorrow,
We are seldom saddened to see tomorrow.
Then again it’s said treacherous times have passed,
For tyrants cannot torment our untimely past.
Figuring our fruitless fights to have gone dry,
To forget freedom with fear in our eyes.
But we vision our virtues along with their vices,
Forsaken victims of victories vicious prices.
Demanding to leave our lost lying in blood,
While memories linger of our great rivers in flood.
Yet hypocrisy has not hindered histories cries,
Even though the devil hides behind his hideous lies.
Just as a forgotten people ponder a forgotten question,
With our products of pain being power and passion.
